Education Aid Has Awarded the Following Scholarship Programs


Speak Out Against Prejudice Scholarship

This is a $5,000 Scholarship that will be awarded to one deserving student passionate about doing their part to stop bullying, prejudice, and negative stigmas, in particular as they relate to the GLBT community.  Student must be pursuing a career that will involve taking a stand against the negative stereotypes often associated with the GLBT community and/or counseling or mentoring those affected by such stereotypes.  Some of the preferred degree programs are Psychology, Sociology, Public Speaking, Political Science, GLBT Studies, and Conflict Resolution.  The scholarship funds will be distributed for the 2012-2013 academic school year.  The winner for this Scholarship Program has been selected and notified.

EducationAid Support a Student Scholarship for a New Jersey Resident

This is a $5,000 Scholarship that was awarded to a student who is a New Jersey resident and attending a NJ State School.  The funding for this Scholarship came from Education Aid’s first annual 50/50 cash raffle fundraiser and Holiday Dinner.   The winner will be selected from the pool of applications received for the Online Colleges.org Scholarship.  These deserving and qualified applicants were not selected because they did not make it into the first 100 applications received, or their program was not an online degree program.  The winner for this Scholarship Program has been selected and notified.

Nursing Home Abuse.net – Awareness and Prevention Scholarship

This is a $5,000 Scholarship that was awarded to a student working towards a Degree in Nursing (preferably concentrating in geriatrics), Social Work, Psychology, or Health Care Administration where they plan working with the senior citizen population.  This is for the 2012-2013 academic school year.  The winner for this Scholarship Program has been selected and notified.

Online Colleges.org Support a Student Scholarship for Single Parents

This is a $10,000 scholarship that was awarded to a single parent who is enrolled in an online degree program at an accredited post-secondary institution. The scholarship will help pay for non-tuition related living expenses for the 2012 calendar year that are not covered by their current financial aid amounts.  The winner for this Scholarship Program has been selected and notified.
